Interaksi sosial jarak jauh antara mahasiswa rantau dengan saudara kandung ( studi kasus mahasiswa sosiologi angkatan 2021 di fisip Universitas Riau)
This study is entitled "Long-Distance Social Interactions Between Out-of-School Students and Siblings (Case Study of Sociology Students, Class of 2021, at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Riau). The purpose of this study is to determine the forms, methods, and obstacles of social interactions between out-of-school students and their siblings. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach and utilizes interaction theory. Data and information were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. In this study, there were four research subjects, one of whom served as a key informant. The results indicate that out-of-school students and their siblings use mobile phones to maintain relationships, predominantly using the WhatsApp application. The most common forms of interaction during long-distance interactions are voice calls and text messages. The most common obstacle encountered during long-distance interactions between out-of-school students and their siblings is network disruption, as network disruption can hinder all forms of communication.
