Hubungan Status Gizi Dengan Pola Menstruasi Pada Remaja Putri Sma Negeri Pintar Kuantan Singingi
Adolescence is a critical period for nutritional needs, as it is characterized by significant physical, psychological, and social growth and development. One of the main features of this phase in females is the onset of menstruation. Nutritional status plays an important role in menstrual patterns, both through adequate nutrition for endometrial regeneration and its influence on reproductive hormone balance. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and menstrual patterns (menstrual cycle, menstrual duration, and menstrual blood volume) among adolescent girls. This study employed a cross- sectional design involving 95 adolescent girls aged 15 to 18 years who attended SMA Negeri Pintar, Kuantan Singingi Regency, from September 2024 to November 2025, using a simple random sampling technique. Univariate analysis showed that the majority of respondents had normal nutritional status (68.4%), normal menstrual cycles (65.3%), normal menstrual duration (52.6%), and normal menstrual blood volume (98.9%). Bivariate analysis was conducted using cell combination, Chi-square, and Fisher’s exact test. The results of this study indicated that there was no significant relationship between nutritional status and menstrual patterns (menstrual cycle, menstrual duration, and menstrual blood volume) among adolescent girls at SMA Negeri Pintar Kuantan Singingi.
