Implementasi Iot Untuk Mengukur Kualitas Jaringan Menggunakan Standar Indeks Kualitas Air Dengan Protokol Mqtt Pada Waduk Faperika Unri
ABSTRACT
The research titled “Implementation of IoT to Measure Network Quality Using the Water Quality Index Standard with the MQTT Protocol at Faperika Reservoir, UNRI” aims to evaluate data transmission quality in an IoT-based water quality monitoring system. The background of this study stems from the absence of an automatic method to collect data on the water quality of the Faperika Reservoir at Universitas Riau, which results in delayed responses to changes in water conditions. The research method employed is Research and Development with a Prototyping approach. Network quality testing was conducted using the Wireshark application. The measured parameters include Throughput, Delay, Jitter, and Packet Loss, based on the TIPHON quality standard. Testing was carried out over three days for each level of Quality of Service (QoS) used in MQTT-based data transmission. The data captured by Wireshark was then analyzed to evaluate the performance of each QoS level. The results indicate that all QoS levels achieved an average score of 3.66, which falls under the “Good” category. However, if higher throughput is prioritized, QoS level 2 is recommended. Conversely, if the main priority is minimizing delay and jitter, QoS levels 0 or 1 are the preferred options for transmitting water quality data in the IoT system.
