Dampak Sektor Basis Dan Nonbasis Terhadap Pertumbuhan Investasi Di Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti

ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of the base sector on investment
and the effect of investment on output growth in the Meranti Islands Regency. The
analysis was carried out using path analysis which specifically analyzed the effect
of the base sector on investment and the effect of investment on output growth. The
data used is secondary data in the form of time series in the form of Gross Regional
Domestic Product (GRDP) and Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) values
during the 2019-2024 period sourced from BAPPEDA Meranti Islands Regency
and BPS Meranti Islands Regency. The analysis results show that the basic sector
has a positive and significant effect on investment in the Meranti Islands Regency
and investment also has a positive and significant effect on output growth in the
Meranti Islands Regency. The coefficient of determination in each model shows that
the independent and dependent variables are able to explain with a high
percentage. This finding confirms that strengthening the basic sector plays an
important role in encouraging investment which ultimately has an impact on
regional economic growth.
