upaya peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas xi.1 sman 1 kampar kiri melalui model discovery learning berbantuan video pembelajaran pada materi larutan penyangga
This study aims to improve the learning activity and achievement of students in class XI.1 of SMAN 1 Kampar Kiri on the topic of buffer solutions through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Learning Videos. The background of this study is the low level of student engagement and achievement, as indicated by an average daily test score of 50 on acid-base material, which is below the minimum mastery criterion (KKTP) of 68, with only 34.48% of students achieving mastery. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 29 students, comprising 18 females and 11 males. Data were collected through observation and achievement tests. The results showed an increase in student learning activity from 55.90% in the first cycle (categorized as fair) to 73.60% in the second cycle (categorized as good). Student learning outcomes also improved, as shown by the increase in average scores from 72.21 in the first cycle to 85.62 in the second cycle, and classical completeness from 58.62% to 89.66%. These findings indicate that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Learning Videos is effective in enhancing students’ learning activity and achievement in the topic of buffer solutions.
