Monitoring Dan Evaluasi Pertumbuhan Mangrove Di Areal Rehabilitasi Di Desa Teluk Pambang Kecamatan Bantan Kabupaten Bengkalis
ABSTRACT
Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest mangrove forests in the
world's mangrove ecosystem, which plays an important ecological role, but
continues to experience degradation, including in Teluk Pambang Village,
Bengkalis Regency. Rehabilitation activities through a community-based mangrove
ecological restoration approach are being carried out to restore the mangrove
ecosystem. This study monitors and evaluates mangrove growth and environmental
factors to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the restoration strategy. This
study aims to (1) determine the density of mangrove plants, the percentage of
plant survival, and the growth of mangrove seedlings in the mangrove
rehabilitation area. (2) analyze environmental factors (pH, temperature, salinity,
substrate, and tides) that affect the success of mangrove rehabilitation. (3)
Evaluate the mangrove rehabilitation method in Teluk Pambang Village. The
location and time of the study were in Teluk Pambang Village, Bengkalis
Regency, in March-April 2025. This study was conducted using field research
with quantitative methods. Mangrove growth data was collected by counting the
number of living seedlings and seedling height. The results showed that the
survival rate of plants using the spaced clump planting method averaged 45.41%,
while the hydrological improvement method averaged 51.69%, indicating that
mangrove rehabilitation was less successful. The average height increase R.
apiculata and A. alba was 3-5 cm, higher than the hydrological improvement
method (average
