The problem formulation in this research is how the level of expectation of the Security Officers (Satpam) toward their children’s education at PT Musim Mas, Pangkalan Lesung District. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the level of expectation of the Security Officers (Satpam) toward their children’s education at PT Musim Mas, Pangkalan Lesung District.
The type of this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population in this research consists of members of the security unit (Satpam) at PT Musim Mas, Pangkalan Lesung District, which includes several areas, namely Estate 1, Estate 2, Estate 3, Estate 4, Estate 5, PKS Batang Kulim, PKS Lesung, and GRC, with a total of 166 security officers. In taking the sample, the technique used was Simple Random Sampling by applying the Slovin formula, so the sample in this research consisted of 118 security officers. The trial test in this research involved 30 students with 48 statements. After being tested, 44 of these statements were valid with an r-count value of 0.945, which indicates a high level of validity.
Based on the research findings, it can be seen that the expectation of the security officers (Satpam) toward their children’s education at PT Musim Mas, Pangkalan Lesung District, viewed from the respondents’ demographic factors, is as follows: Based on age, it can be seen that those who have the highest expectations toward their children’s education are in the 28–35 years age group, with a mean value of 4.29. Furthermore, based on the last education level, there are two equal mean values among the four education levels, where the elementary school (SD)

and vocational high school (SMK) levels have a mean value of 4.26, while the junior high school (SMP) and senior high school (SMA) levels have a mean value of 4.27. Then, based on the number of children, it is known that those who have one child have high expectations toward their children’s education, with a mean value of 4.32.
The research results from the four selected indicators, namely: Goal, Motivation, Optimism, and Resilience in facing challenges. Among these four indicators, the expectation toward their children’s education in the aspect of motivation becomes the guiding factor in their expectations, with the highest mean score of 4.68. This motivation reflects a strong inner drive of the security officers to realize the best possible education for their children, which can positively influence their behavior, perseverance, and performance in supporting their children’s education. Meanwhile, the indicator of expectation toward their children’s education in the aspect of goal shows the lowest mean value among the other indicators, which is 4.08, indicating that goals serve as guidance and a main influence on the actions of the security officers in achieving a better future.
Thus, it can be concluded that the security officers at PT Musim Mas, Pangkalan Lesung District, have a high expectation toward their children’s education. This expectation is supported by strong motivation, clear goals, optimism, and resilience in facing challenges, which are not greatly influenced by differences in age, education, or number of children. This shows that awareness of the importance of education has been strongly embedded in all respondent groups, making education the main foundation for improving the family’s future.
