This qualitative study aims to explore the role of pa rental education in promoting
awareness and participation in physical activity among school-aged children in
Sungai Tohor Village. Using qualitative methods, data were collected through
observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal varying levels of
parental understanding and involvement. While some parents recognize the
importance of physical activity, challenges such as limited facilities, lack of
information, and a greater focus on academic activities and technology often
hinder regular exercise among children. The study found that children who
received consistent support and education from their parents were more
physically active and adopted healthier lifestyles. Therefore, continuous parental
education is essential to encourage the formation of active and healthy habits in
children. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for schools,
local governments, and communities in developing programs that promote
physical activity from an early age.
