ABSTRACT
Coptotermes curvignathus is a major pest that attacks oil palms in peat soils. The origin of the isolate affects the pathogenicity of the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae. This study aims to obtain the concentration of entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae local isolate as a bioinsecticide against termites Coptotermes curvignathus, a pest of oil palm. The research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 5 treatments with 4 replicates. The treatments given were several concentrations of Metarhizium. anisopliae local isolate, namely 0 g/l, 25 g/l, 50 g/l,75 g/l, 100 g/l distilled water. Parameters observed were initial time of death, lethal time 50, lethal concentration 50% and 95%, daily mortality, total mortality, behavioral and morphological changes, and temperature and humidity. The results showed that the concentration of Metarhizium anisopliae rice isolate concentration of 75g/l distilled water with a conidia density of 7.95 x kon/ml is a concentration that can be considered as a bioinsecticide because it causes total mortality of Coptotermes curvignathus by 72,50%, the initial time of death is 3.2 hours and lethal time 50 Coptotermes curvignathus 21.50 hours. The right concentration of Metarhizium anisopliae local isolate to kill 50% of Coptotermes curvignathus is 2.61% concentration. The right concentration for 95% lethality is 28.17a%.
