Hubungan Golongan Antihipertensi Dan Jenis Terapi Dengan Kualitas Hidup Pasien Hipertensi Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
Hypertension is a highly prevalent non-communicable disease that can reduce patients’ quality of life, making the selection of antihypertensive drug classes and therapy types an important aspect of disease management. This study aimed to analyze the relationship of antihypertensive drug classes and types of therapy with quality of life among hypertension patients at RSUD Arifin Achmad Riau Province. This analytical observational research used a cross-sectional design involving 96 outpatient hypertension patients selected through consecutive sampling. Data were collected using the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire and patients’ medical records. Most respondents were female (61.5%) and older than 60 years (43,8%). Combination therapy was the most frequently used regimen (59.4%), while among monotherapy users, the most commonly prescribed drug class was Calcium Channel Blocker (51.3%). A total of 83.3% of patients had good quality of life. In the combination therapy group, 82.5% had good quality of life, compared with 84.6% in the monotherapy group. Statistical analysis showed no significant association between therapy type and quality of life (p = 0.78), nor between antihypertensive drug classes and quality of life (p = 0.840). In conclusion, antihypertensive drug classes and types of therapy were not significantly associated with quality of life in hypertension patients.
