Analisis Faktor-Faktor Produksi Cabai Merah Besar Di Desa Paya Lombang Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai
ABSTRACT
Production factor analysis is conducted to determine the production factors that
influence the production of large red chilies. Paya Lombang Village is a center for large
red chilies with the largest production and the largest land area. This study was
conducted to analyze the characteristics of farmers and the role of large red chili
production factors in Paya Lombang Village, Tebing Tinggi District, Serdang Bedagai
Regency. The study employed a purposive sampling survey method involving 61
respondents, selected based on the criterion that participants were farmers cultivating
at least 0.1 hectares of large red chili using conventional farming techniques. Data were
obtained from direct interviews with respondents and secondary data from
related institutions. Data was analyzed using correlation analysis and multiple linear
regression models with the Cobb-Douglas production function. The variables of
cultivated land area, KCl fertilizer, demolish pesticide, antracol pesticide, labor, plant
population, and seed assistance were able to explain the dependent variable by 98.6%.
The independent variables simultaneously had a significant influence on the dependent
variable. The production factors that had a significant effect on output were cultivated
land area, plant population, and seed assistance, whereas KCl fertilizer, demolish
pesticide, antracol pesticide, and labor showed no significant influence on production.
