Keanekaragaman Tumbuhan Bawah Di Hutan Adat Ghimbo Bonca Lida Kecamatan Kampa Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
This study analyzed the understory plant diversity and influencing environmental
factors in the Ghimbo Bonca Lida Customary Forest, Kampar, Riau. Data were
collected in April–May 2025 using systematic sampling on 13 plot lines (2x2m
subplots). Identified results showed 41 understory species from 25 families. The
Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index (H') was high for herbs (H' = 3.27) and moderate
for shrubs (H' = 2.15). The Evenness Index (E) was high (herbs 0.95, shrubs 0.93),
indicating a stable and evenly distributed ecosystem. Dominant species were
pioneer herbs (Cyperus rotundus, Ageratum conyzoides) and shrubs (Abrus
melanospermus, Timonius wallichianus). The microclimate was stable (28.66ºC,
86.55% humidity). Soil chemical properties (high organic C, N, P, K; low BD) were
fertile and positively correlated with high diversity. Overall, the understory plant
diversity is in good and stable condition. The high diversity confirms that local
customary management is an effective model for conservation. The findings
provide a basis for continuous protection of the fertile topsoil (high C-organic, N,
P, K) which supports this high diversity. The dominance of pioneer species also
serves as an early indicator, necessitating continuous monitoring of canopy integrity
to maintain the stability of the ecosystem.
