Uji Konsentrasi Nematoda Entomopatogen Steinernema Carpocapsae Weiser Lokal Terhadap Crocidolomia Pavonana Fabricius Hama Tanaman Sawi Pakcoy Di Laboratorium
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the most effective concentration of the local entomopathogenic nematode (EPN) Steinernema carpocapsae Weiser against Crocidolomia pavonana Fabricius a pest of pakcoy mustard under laboratory conditions. The study was conducted experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of five treatments and four replications, resulting in a total of 20 experimental units. The treatments consisted of EPN concentrations of 0 IJ/ml distilled water, 300 IJ/ml distilled water, 600 IJ/ml distilled water, 900 IJ/ml distilled water, and 1200 IJ/ml distilled water. The observation parameters included EPN identification, initial time of mortality (hours), lethal time 50 (hours), daily mortality (%), total mortality (%), as well as temperature and humidity. The daily mortality data obtained from the experiment were analyzed descriptively and presented in graphical form. The data on initial time of mortality, lethal time 50, and total mortality were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Significant results from ANOVA were further tested using Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the 5% significance level. The results showed that the most effective concentration was the local S. carpocapsae NEP at 900 IJ/ml distilled water, which caused 85% total mortality of C. pavonana larvae at 72 hours and resulted in a lethal time 50 of 45 hours after the application of the local S. carpocapsae EPN.
