This study aims to identify patterns of meaning changes and types of synesthesia meanings in the Riau Malay language of the Pangean District Subdialect. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques, namely free listening, recording and taking notes. The data analysis method used is data reduction, data presentation and continued with drawing conclusions. Based on the study, 40 data were found with 8 classifications, namely, (1) patterns of the sense of sight to the sense of hearing, (2) patterns of the sense of taste to the sense of sight, (3) patterns of the sense of taste to the sense of hearing, (4) patterns of the sense of touch to the sense of hearing, (5) patterns of the sense of smell to the sense of sight, (6) patterns of the sense of smell to the sense of hearing, (7) patterns of the sense of touch to the sense of sight, (8) patterns of the sense of hearing to the sense of sight. In the meaning of synesthesia in the Riau Malay language of the Pangean District Subdialect, connotative meanings were found, 3 forms were found, namely positive connotative, negative connotative, and neutral connotative.
