kemampuan menulis teks drama berbantuan media video wisata daerah pada siswa kelas xi rpl smk multi mekanik masmur
This study aims to describe the ability of eleventh-grade RPL students at SMK Multi
Mekanik Masmur in writing drama texts after learning through the use of regional tourism
video media. The learning media employed were two videos featuring local tourist attractions,
namely Istana Siak and the Sang Nila Utama Museum, which contain elements of history,
culture, and local values. This research applied a descriptive quantitative method with a
population of 195 students, while the sample consisted of 30 students selected through
purposive sampling (15.38% of the population). The assessment focused on five aspects:
creativity, plot structure, conformity with dramatis elements, cultural relevance, and language
use with writing style. The results revealed that students’ average score in writing drama texts
was 61.13, categorized as moderate. Specifically, creativity scored an average of 68
(moderate), plot structure 43.5 (very low), conformity with dramatic elements 54 (low),
cultural relevance 72.1 (moderate), and language and writing style 67 (moderate). These
findings indicate that regional tourism video media can serve as an alternative learning strategy
to improve students’ ability in writing drama texts, although strengthening is still required in
the aspect of plot structure.
