This study aims to improve students’ learning activities and problem-solving skills by implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This type of research is classroom action research conducted in two learning cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The application of the Problem Based Learning model made students more active in the learning process. This was reflected in the results of observation and reflection, which showed an increase in students’ learning activity percentage from 56.76% in cycle I, categorized as good but not yet meeting the success indicator, to 77.15% in cycle II, categorized as very good. Students’ problem-solving ability also improved, with an average score of 75.21 in cycle I and 87.06 in cycle II. The percentage of mastery increased from 33.33% in cycle I to 87.88% in cycle II. Based on these results, the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model can enhance learning activity and problem-solving skills in the buffer solution topic.
