resilience on homesickness levels among out-of-town students in the Community Education Study Program at the University of Riau.
The research instrument consisted of two questionnaires: 1) Self-Resilience, 2) Homesickness. The research instrument went through several stages: 1) reviewing all theories related to the variables to be studied, 2) compiling indicators for each variable, 3) compiling a grid, 4) compiling statement items and establishing a measurement scale, 5) pilot testing the instrument, 6) analyzing the items by testing the validity and reliability of each statement.
A significant and positive contribution was obtained between self-resilience and homesickness, with a large influence of 27.3%, and 72.7% was determined by other factors not included in this study. The study shows that self-resilience significantly influences homesickness in students living away from home.
