Analisis Motivasi Dan Perilaku Wirausaha Terhadap Kinerja Peternak Plasma Ayam Broiler(Studi Kasus : Pola Kemitraan Pada Pt Indojaya Agrinusa)
ABSTRACT
Broiler plasma farmers play a crucial role in sustaining poultry production in
Indonesia, particularly in Riau Province, where broiler farming serves as a major
source of income. However, farmers continue to face substantial challenges in
managing their enterprises, including unstable market prices, low bargaining power,
inconsistent quality of production inputs such as DOC, feed, and medication, as
well as limited knowledge and managerial capability. These constraints often result
in production inefficiency and higher financial risks. To mitigate these issues, many
farmers engage in partnership schemes with companies such as PT Indojaya
Agrinusa, which provide production inputs and market certainty. Nevertheless, the
success of partnership-based broiler farming is not solely determined by external
support, but also by internal farmer factors, particularly motivation and
entrepreneurial behavior. This study aims to describe the characteristics,
perceptions, motivation, entrepreneurial behavior, and performance of plasma
farmers, and to analyze the influence of motivation and entrepreneurial behavior on
farmer performance. Using a quantitative approach with 25 respondents and SEMPLS
analysis, the results demonstrate that entrepreneurial behavior significantly
improves farmer performance, while motivation influences performance indirectly
through entrepreneurial behavior. These findings highlight the importance of
strengthening entrepreneurial capacity to enhance the success of broiler plasma
farmers in partnership systems.
