Kesesuaian Model Hidrograf Satuan Sintetik (Hss) Berdasarkan Karakteristik Daerah Aliran Sungai (Studi Kasus: Sub Das Rokan Kiri)
ABSTRACT
The Rokan Kiri sub-watershed is one of the sub-watersheds of the Rokan watershed.
On February 26-27, 2025, flooding occurred due to the overflowing of the Rokan
Kiri River. To reduce the risk of flooding, water structures are needed whose
planning requires accurate design flood discharge to produce reliable, safe, and
economical water structures with hydrological analysis. One approach to
hydrological analysis is Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (SUH) modeling. The approach
using the SUH model is practical and simple because it can be used even when field
data is not available, namely by using watershed characteristic data. The SUH
methods that have been widely used in Indonesia include Snyder-Alexeyev SUH,
Nakayasu SUH, SCS SUH, Gama I SUH, ITB SUH, and others. The purpose of this
study is to analyze the SUH model that is suitable for application in the Rokan Kiri
Sub-Watershed based on watershed characteristics and to analyze the best SUH
model based on peak discharge accuracy and model practicality and simplicity.
This study uses the SCS SUH, Nakayasu SUH, Snyder-Alexeyev SUH, ITB-1 SUH,
and ITB-2 SUH analysis methods based on the characteristics of the Watershed.
The research data used are the watershed area, the length of the main river, the
length of the main river from the watershed's center of gravity, the average slope
gradient, and CN. Based on the analysis results, the PU values obtained from the
five SUH methods were less than 5%, indicating that all five SUH methods were
suitable for application in the Rokan Kiri sub-watershed. Based on the peak
discharge accurucy, the ITB-2 SUH method can be the best choice and based on
the practicality and simplicity, the Nakayasu SUH method is the best choice.
