Strategi Pengembangan Ekowisata Mangrove Sungai Liong Di Desa Bantan Tengah Kabupaten Bengkalis
Mangrove ecosystems provide crucial ecological, social, and economic services and are increasingly recognized as potential drivers of sustainable coastal development. Despite this, the management of the Liong River Mangrove Ecotourism in Bengkalis Regency, Indonesia, faces persistent challenges such as illegal logging, weak local institutions, and limited community-based economic initiatives. This study aims to develop a strategic framework for sustainable ecotourism development using the Analytic Network Process (ANP) with Super Decisions software. Data were obtained through field observation, semi-structured interviews, and pairwise comparison questionnaires involving 15 key stakeholders, including local leaders, government officials, and ecotourism experts. The ANP results revealed that institutional revitalization ranked as the top priority strategy (weight = 0.209), followed by creative economy enhancement (0.188), infrastructure improvement (0.186), and mangrove rehabilitation (0.094). These findings emphasize that strengthening local institutional capacity is fundamental for ensuring balanced ecological conservation and community welfare. The study contributes to the growing body of literature on sustainable mangrove ecotourism by integrating social, economic, and environmental dimensions through a systems-based decision framework.
