Status Kesuburan Perairan Berdasarkan Trophic State Index (TSI) Di Danau Panjang, Desa Lubuk Siam, Kabupaten Kampar
Panjang Lake is one of the areas exposed to seasonal flooding from the Kampar River that occurs during the rainy season. The lake is utilized by the surrounding community to conduct household activities, fisheries and there are oil palm plantations around the lake. There are several indices used to determine the fertility status of waters, including using chemical and biological approaches (TRIX), biological approaches (Nygaard), and a combination of physical, chemical and biological approaches (TSI). TSI (Trophic State Index) is a method proposed by Carlson (1977), determining trophic status using algal biomass as a basis that can be estimated based on brightness, chorophyll-a concentration and total P. This research was conducted in August-September 2024 at Panjang Lake. The method used is a survey method, namely by making direct observations at Long Lake. The sampling location used 3 stations with different characteristics and were considered to represent the location of the research waters, namely station 1 (around the inlet), station 2 (at the turn of the lake) and station 3 around the end of the lake. At each station there are 2 sampling points, namely the surface and 2 times into the Secchi. Sampling was carried out 5 times at intervals of once a week. The water quality parameters measured are temperature, brightness, degree of acidity (pH), dissolved oxygen (DO), free carbon dioxide (CO2), chlorophyll-a and total phosphate. The results of water quality observations during the research were temperature ranging from 27,6-30,2⁰C, acidity 6, dissolved oxygen ranging from 3,96-6,59 mg/L and free carbon dioxide ranging from 8,71- 12,35 mg/L, brightness ranges from 76,1-89,1 cm, total phosphate ranges from 0,012-0,042 mg/L and chlorophyll-a ranges from 10,11-14,14 µg/L. The TSI value during the study ranged from 53,80-57,20. Based on the TSI value obtained, it can be concluded that the fertility status of Panjang Lake is mildly eutrophic.
