Aplikasi Kompos Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Pakcoy (Brassica Rapa L.)
ABSTRACT
Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) is a popular vegetable crop that is widely cultivated in many countries, including Indonesia. Organic cultivation of pakcoy using empty palm fruit bunches (EPFB) is a good alternative considering the potential of EPFB as an organic material with a high nutrient content. This study aims to determine the effect of TKKS compost application rates and to obtain the TKKS compost rate that can increase pakcoy plant growth and production. This study was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, for two months from January to March 2025. This study was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of five treatments (0 tons/ha, 1 ton/ha, 2 tons/ha, 3 tons/ha, and 4 tons/ha) and four replicates. The observation parameters consisted of plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, leaf stalk width, leaf stalk length, stem diameter, fresh weight per plant, fresh weight per plot, harvest age, fresh weight suitable for consumption per plant, fresh weight suitable for consumption per plot, and root volume. The results showed that the application of TKKS compost could increase all growth and production parameters of pakcoy plants. The application of TKKS compost at a dose of 3 tons/ha provided optimal growth and production in pakcoy plants.
Keywords: observation, consumption, plant, fresh weight.
