Uji Antagonisme Biakan Tunggal Serta Konsorsium Jamur Rizosfer Tanaman Manggis Terhadap Fusarium Oxysporum Schlecht Penyebab Penyakit Moler Pada Tanaman Bawang Merah
ABSTRACT
Antagonistic fungi isolating from plant rhizospheres have been widely studied and used to control fungal pathogens in plants. The purpose of this study was to observe and obtain a single culture and consortium of mangosteen rhizosphere fungi that have a highest antagonism in potency in controlling F. oxysporum of shallot plants. The study was conducted at the Plant Disease Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The research methods used in this study were exploration (isolation of F. oxysporum fungi), observation (rejuvenation of mangosteen rhizosphere fungi, compatibility test and hyperparasitism test ) and experiment (spore density, colony diameter and growth rate of mangosteen rhizosphere fungi, colony diameter of F. oxysporum applied with single and consortium culture of mangosteen rhizosphere fungi and inhibition potency). The results showed that the three fungi of mangosteen rhizosphere are compatible. The highest spore density was found on consortium of Mucor sp. 1+Trichoderma harzianum sp. (R5) with a spore density of 2.78x106. The largest colony diameter and highest growth rate of mangosteen rhizosphere fungi, i. e.: 90 mm and 30.00 mm/day, respectively, were found on consortia of Mucor sp. 1 + Trichoderma harzianum sp (R5), Mucor sp. 2+Trichoderma harzianum sp (R6), Trichoderma harzianum sp (R3), and Mucor sp. 1+Mucor sp. 2+Trichoderma harzianum sp (R7). The smallest colony diameter of F. oxysporum, i.e.: 16.25 mm, was found on (R7). The highest inhibition potency of the rhizosphere, i.e.: 64.50%, was found on R7. The hyperparasitic types of the rhizosphere fungi such as : attachment, observed on Mucor sp. 1 (R1), Mucor sp. 2 (R2), Mucor sp. 1 + Mucor sp.2 (R4) and R7, entrapment on R5, R7, entanglement on R3, R5, R6, and lysis on R3 and R7. The three consortia of mangosteen rhizosphere fungi had a higher antagonistic potency and potential to be used as biological agents to control F. oxysporum of shallot plants.
