Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Padi Gogo (Oryza Sativa L.) Pada Medium Podsolik Dengan Pemberian Fly Ash Dan Poc Limbah Cair Tahu
ABSTRACT
This study aimed to determine the interaction and main effects of fly ash (FA) and liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) from tofu liquid waste on the growth and yield of upland rice grown in podsolic soil, as well as to identify the optimal dosage for improving plant performance. The research was conducted in a greenhouse and the Soil Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University. The experiment used a 3×3×5 factorial completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor was fly ash, consisting of three levels (0, 25 and 50 g/polybag). The second factor was tofu liquid waste LOF, consisting of three levels (0, 200 and 400 ml/polybag). Each treatment combination was replicated five times. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and DNMRT at the 5% significance level. The results showed that the interaction between FA and LOF significantly affected only the weight of milled dry grain each polybag. The FA doses 25 g for each polybag treatment significantly improved all observed parameters except harvest age, while the LOF dose 400 ml for each polybag treatment significantly increased the percentage of filled grains and milled dry grain weight. The combination of FA dose 50 g for each polybag with LOF dose 400 ml for each polybag produced the highest number of milled dry grain weight. In conclusion, applying FA dose 25 g for each polybag or 400 ml LOF per polybag separately is recommended to improve the growth and yield of upland rice on podsolic soil.
