Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Padi Gogo (Oryza Sativa L.) Pada Medium Podsolik Dengan Pemberian Fly Ash Dan Poc Sayuran
ABSTRACT
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the main component of Indonesia’s food system and serves as the staple food for most of the population, making its production a priority in agricultural development. Increasing rice productivity can be achieved through extensification by utilizing sub-optimal land and intensification through the use of superior varieties and soil amendments. Podsolic soils, which are generally acidic and have low nutrient availability, require appropriate amelioration to improve soil fertility and support plant growth. Fly ash (FA) and liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) from vegetables are soil conditioners that can improve soil properties and enhance plant growth. This study aimed to determine the interaction effects of fly ash (FA) and LOF vegetables, the individual effects of each treatment, and the optimal doses of fly ash (FA) and LOF on the growth and yield of upland rice (Oryza sativa L.) grown on Podsolic soil. The research was conducted in a greenhouse and the Soil Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Bina Widya polybag), and the second factor was the LOF (0 ml per polybag, 200 ml per polybag, and 400 ml per polybag). The results showed that the interaction between fly ash (FA) and LOF and the individual effect of LOF had no significant effect on all observed parameters, while the individual effect of fly ash (FA) significantly affected all growth and yield parameters of upland rice. Application of fly ash (FA) 25 g per polybag is recommended for further field evaluation.
