Pengaruh Pemberian Kompos Pelepah Kelapa Sawit Dan Pgpr Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) Di Main Nursery Pada Media Ultisol
ABSTRACT
Oil palm is a plantation commodity with great potential which is the largest
produced in Indonesia. As the area of land requiring rejuvenation increases, quality
seedlings are needed in large quantities. Ultisol soil which dominates dry land in
Indonesia has low fertility, so management with the addition of organic matter is
needed. This study aims to determine the effect of interaction and single factors of
oil palm frond compost and PGPR on the growth of oil palm seedlings on ultisol
media. The research was carried out experimentally using a factorial completely
randomized design (CRD) with two treatment factors: oil palm frond compost (400
g, 1000 g, 1600 g/polybag) and PGPR (10 ml, 20 ml, 30 ml/polybag), resulting in
9 treatment combinations with 3 replications. Parameters observed included height
increase, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf area, total chlorophyll,
photosynthesis rate, root volume, dry weight, and shoot root ratio. The results
showed that the interaction of oil palm frond compost and PGPR had a significant
effect on seedling height and chlorophyll content. Single factors of oil palm frond
compost and PGPR each had a significant effect on seedling height, number of
fronds, leaf area, stem diameter, root volume, leaf chlorophyll, photosynthesis rate
and dry weight. The combination of 1600 g palm frond compost with 30 ml PGPR
is the best treatment in increasing the growth of main nursery oil palm seedlings of
D x P Topaz 3 variety.
