ABSTRACT
This study was carried out with the aim of finding out: (1) analyze the income
and expenditure structure of pineapple farmer households in Rimbo Panjang
Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. (2) analyze the condition of food
security when viewed based on household food expenditure of pineapple farmers
in Rimbo Panjang Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. The data analysis
used is descriptive quantitative analysis. The data used in this study are primary
and secondary data. A sample of 32 pineapple farmers was obtained using the
Slovin formula determined by purposive sampling with the criteria of pineapple
farmers who have farming or non-farming income sources.
The results obtained regarding the Analysis of Household Food Security of
Pineapple Farmers in Rimbo Panjang Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency
can be concluded as follows: (1) The household income structure of pineapple
farmers in Rimbo Panjang Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency, with a
total average pineapple farmer income of Rp. 7,420,068/month. The largest farmer
income is obtained from on-farm income, with an average of Rp.
5,950,068/month. The next largest income comes from non-farm income with an
average of Rp. 1,128,125/month. Furthermore, the lowest source of farmer
income is off-farm income, with an average of Rp. 341,875/month. Meanwhile,
the household expenditure structure of pineapple farmers in Rimbo Panjang
Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency with total household expenditure on
food and non-food in Rimbo Panjang Village is Rp. 2,082,031/month. Household
expenditure of pineapple farmers in Rimbo Panjang Village is dominated by nonfood
expenditure with an average of Rp. 2,434,563/month. Furthermore, food
expenditure with an average of Rp. 1,581,406/month. (2) There are 27 pineapple
farmer households categorized as food secure while 5 farmer households are
categorized as food insecure.lls, thereby increasing income and reducing
dependence on intermediaries.
