Analisis Usaha Agroindustri Tahu Di Kecamatan Payung Sekaki Kota Pekanbaru (Studi Kasus : Agroindustri Tahu Rosa Bapak Lukman)
ABSTRACT
This study aims to describe the characteristics of entrepreneurs, business profiles,
and production processes in the tofu agroindustry located in Payung Sekaki District,
Pekanbaru City, as well as to analyze the feasibility and efficiency of the business.
The research was conducted at Mr. Lukman’s Tofu Factory as a case study using
both descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches. Primary data were
collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, while secondary
data were obtained from relevant institutions. The data were analyzed by
calculating production costs, revenues, and business efficiency using the Return
Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio) method. The results revealed that the entrepreneur was in
the productive age group (50 years old) with 24 years of business experience and
employed seven productive workers. The use of imported soybeans produced highquality
tofu that was preferred by consumers. The total annual production cost
amounted to IDR 922,059,800, generating a gross income of IDR 1,321,920,000
and a net income of IDR 399,860,200. The R/C Ratio value of 1.43 indicates that
every IDR 1 of production cost generates IDR 1.43 in revenue, suggesting that the
business is both efficient and economically feasible to develop. Overall, the tofu
agroindustry contributes positively to the local economy and provides opportunities
to enhance community welfare through the development of small-scale, food-based
industries.
