Ketergantungan Peternak Plasma Ayam Broiler Pada Pola Kemitraan Pt Semesta Mitra Sejahtra Di Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu

ABSTRAK
This study aims to analyze the characteristics of plasma farmers, the level
of contract implementation, and the degree of dependency among broiler farmers
within the partnership scheme of PT Semesta Mitra Sejahtra in Indragiri Hulu
Regency. Using a survey method involving active plasma farmers, the research
examines socio-economic characteristics, contract implementation, and
dependency indicators including input criticality, availability of alternative
suppliers, and the level of control exerted by the integrator. The results show that
the implementation of the partnership contract falls under the category of well
implemented, while the dependency level of farmers reaches scores of 2.23 for Feed
Conversion Ratio, 2.16 for mortality, 2.76 for alternative scarcity, and 2.96 for
integrator control, all of which are classified as high dependency. These scores
reflect the farmers’ strong reliance on the integrator for production inputs, technical
supervision, and market access. The findings indicate that although the partnership
system operates functionally, the relationship between the parties remains
asymmetric, highlighting the need for improved transparency, stronger farmer
empowerment, and enhanced bargaining power to establish a more equitable and
sustainable partnership model.
