Tingkat Pencemaran Sungai Tapung Kiri Kabupatenkampar, Provinsiriaumenggunakan Metode Ccme-Wqi (Canadian Council Of Ministers Of The Environment Water Quality Index)
Tapung Kiri River in Kampar Regency, Riau Province, is utilized for various activities such as household needs, fisheries, agriculture, sand mining, and transportation of plantation products. This study aims to analyze the pollution level using the CCME Water Quality Index (CCME-WQI, Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment). Sampling was conducted at three stations representing upstream, midstream, and downstream from February to April 2025, with three repetitions each month. Parameters analyzed included temperature, pH, (DO), BODâ‚…, COD, TSS) nitrate, total phosphate, and total coliform. CCME-WQI results showed differences in water quality at each station: Station I: 85.20 (Good), Station II: 79.23 (Fair), Station III: 47,42 (Marginal), with an average of 70.62 (Fair). The decline in water quality from upstream to downstream is mainly caused by domestic waste, runoff from palm oil plantations, and contributions from tributaries affected by industrial activities. This study indicates that the river is in a Fair to Poor condition, emphasizing the importance of regular water quality monitoring.
