Serapan Karbon Oleh Fitoplankton Berdasarkan Klorofil-A Di Danau Panjang Dan Danau Lubuk Siam Kecamatan Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
This study was conducted in October-November 2024, at Lake Panjang and Lake Lubuk Siam, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of chlorophyll-a and the carbon absorption potential of phytoplankton based on chlorophyll-a. Samples were collected at three stations in each lake. The main parameters measured were chlorophyll-a concentration and supporting parameters, namely temperature, pH, brightness, dissolved oxygen, and free carbon dioxide. The observed water quality measurement results show that the temperature in Lake Panjang ranged from 28-30,2 C and Lake Lubuk Siam ranged from 29,2-30 C, pH in Lake Panjang and Lake Lubuk Siam was 6, brightness in Lake Panjang ranged from 76,3-88,8 cm and Lake Lubuk Siam ranged from 68,4-84 cm, dissolved oxygen in Lake Panjang ranged from 4,77-5,35 mg/L and Lake Lubuk Siam ranged from 5,19-5,68 mg/L, free carbon dioxide in Lake Panjang ranged from 10,29-10,60 mg/L and Lake Lubuk Siam ranged from 10,44-11,87 mg/L, nitrate in Lake Panjang ranged from 0,023-0,026 mg/L and Lake Lubuk Siam ranged from 0,024-0,028 mg/L, total phosphate in Lake Panjang ranged from 0,016-0,028 mg/L and Lake Lubuk Siam ranged from 0,022-0,030 mg/L, chlorophyll-a in Lake Panjang ranged from 11,04-14,07 mg/L and Lake Lubuk Siam ranged from 11,89-14,64 mg/L, and carbon absorption calculations in Lake Panjang were 65,34 kgC and Lake Lubuk Siam were 146,21 kgC. It can therefore be concluded that oxbow lakes in Kampar Regency have the potential to absorb carbon and reduce carbon emissions in the atmosphere.
