Ekomorfologi Ikan Tabingalan (Puntioplites Bulu) Di Waduk PLTA Koto Panjang Kecamatan XIII Koto Kampar Provinsi Riau
In the Koto Panjang Dam, there were 3 zones that have different characteristics. The inlet zone characterized by slow current (St1, 0.83m/sec), in the middle of the lake the current was faster (St2, 1.23 m/sec) and there were floating net cageactivities and thus fish feed remains present in the water. Whilein theoutlet area the current was stronger (St3, 1.49 m/sec), and there was no aquaculture activity. It is predicted that the difference of the habitat characteristics will affects the ecomorphology of Puntioplites bulu or locally known as tabingalan fish. To understand the ecomorphology of that fish from each area, a study has been conducted on March toApril 2025. Thefish was captured using nets, 4–7 inch mesh size. There were 25 morphological parameters were measured and analyzed. Results shown that the growth pattern of the fish from St1 and St2 areas were negative allometric, with b values 2.11 and 2.5 respectively, while that of the St 3 was isometric ( 2.97). The condition factor of the fish were 1.24 in St1, 1.30 in St2 and 1.16 in St3. In general the fish captured in the St1 and St3 areas were slimmer than the fish that were captured in St2. This difference might be related to current speed and food sources available in the fish habitat. The water quality in general was as follow: temperature 30.5–31.4 °C, brightness 126.7–150.5 cm, current speed 0.083–0.149 m/s, and free CO₂ was 15.97–16.97 mg/L.
