Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Padi Gogo (Oryza Sativa L.) Pada Medium Podsolik Dengan Pemberian Fly Ash Dan Poc Biourin
ABSTRACT
Rice is the main staple food in Indonesia with a demand that continues to increase every year, but rice production in Indonesia still does not meet the consumption of the Indonesian people. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase rice production through extensification by utilizing sub-optimal land and intensification by using soil conditioners and superior varieties. Podzolic soil has poor chemical characteristics so that soil conditioners such as fly ash (FA) and liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) are needed. Goat biourine is one of the raw materials for LOF. This study aims to investigate the interaction and optimal dosage of fly ash and LOF from biourine on the growth and yield of upland rice (Oryza sativa L.) on Podzolic soil. This study aimed to determine the interaction and main effects of fly ash and LOF from biourin on the growth and yield of upland rice. The experiment was conducted at the Greenhouse and Soil Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from January to May 2025, using a factorial completely randomized design with two factors: fly ash (0, 25, and 50 g per polybag) and LOF (0, 200, and 400 ml per polybag), producing nine treatment combinations with five replications. Data are sourced from field observations and analysis of chemical. The best single treatment for fly ash at 50 g/polybag, the best single treatment for LOF from biourin at 400 ml/polybag, and the interaction treatment of 10 tons/ha of fly ash with 400 ml/polybag of LOF from biourin gave the best average results.
