Analisis Pola Dan Perilaku Konsumsi Minyak Goreng Subsidi Oleh Rumahtangga Peserta Program Keluarga Harapan Di Kota Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
Cooking oil is a basic necessity experiencing significant price fluctuations,
especially for poor households participating in the Program Keluarga Harapan
(PKH) in Pekanbaru City. This fluctuation impacts consumption patterns and
reduces the purchasing power of poor households. This study aims to analyze the
consumption patterns and behavior of subsidized palm cooking oil by Program
Keluarga Harapan and the dominant factors influencing consumption. The method
used was a quantitative survey with a population of 10,414 Program Keluarga
Harapan households and a sample of 315 respondents selected by multistage
sampling. Data were analyzed descriptively, using multiple linear regression
(OLS), and policy simulation. Results show consumption patterns vary by
household size and head of household education levels. Dominant factors
influencing consumption include the price of subsidized cooking oil, household
size, meat prices, egg prices, and household income. Cooking oil price elasticity is
highly sensitive, with price increases causing significant consumption reduction.
Analisys simulation indicates price stability and income growth are essential to
maintaining cooking oil consumption among Program Keluarga Harapan. It is
recommended that the government strengthen price monitoring and enhance
nutritional education and economic capacity of subsidy recipients.
