Pengukuran Dan Analisis Mobile Broadband 4g Di Kota Pekanbaru
ABSTRAK
This study aims to analyze and compare the performance of 4G LTE
networks provided by two cellular operators, Telkomsel and 3 (Tri), in Pekanbaru
City. Measurements were conducted in three different environments, namely
urban, sub-urban, and indoor areas, using drive test methods. The evaluated
performance parameters include Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP),
Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ), Signal to Interference plus Noise
Ratio (SINR), downlink and uplink throughput, and latency (ping). The
measurement results indicate that both operators are generally capable of
delivering acceptable and reliable 4G LTE services. Telkomsel demonstrates
superior performance in terms of signal quality and network stability, with RSRP
values ranging from −80 to −90 dBm, RSRQ values between −10 and −15 dB,
and SINR values exceeding 10 dB. Meanwhile, 3 (Tri) shows relatively
competitive throughput performance, particularly in uplink transmission,
although its signal quality parameters are slightly lower than those of Telkomsel.
The ping values of both operators remain below 100 ms, indicating responsive
mobile broadband services. Based on the evaluation referring to 3GPP Key
Performance Indicators (KPI) and ITU-T recommendations, all measured
parameters comply with the established standards. Therefore, the 4G LTE
network performance in Pekanbaru City can be considered satisfactory, although
further optimization is still required, especially in high-user-density and indoor
environments.
