Determinan Permintaan Mobil Low Cost Green Car (Lcgc) Di Kota Pekanbaru (Studi Kasus Daihatsu Ayla)
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the effect of price, competitor price, and consumer income
on the demand for the Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) Daihatsu Ayla in Pekanbaru
City. Daihatsu Ayla was chosen because of its relatively stable sales performance
amid tight competition in the energy-efficient vehicle segment.
The research uses a quantitative approach with secondary data from 2014–2024,
obtained from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), PT Astra Daihatsu Motor Pekanbaru,
and Gabungan Industri Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia (GAIKINDO). Data analysis
was carried out using multiple linear regression with classical assumption tests, Ftests,
and t-tests to examine the effects of each variable.
The results show that the price of Daihatsu Ayla has a significant positive effect on
demand, the competitor’s price has no significant effect, while consumer income has
a significant negative effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.897 or 89.7%,
indicating that the three variables together explain 89.7% of the variation in
Daihatsu Ayla demand in Pekanbaru, while the remaining 10.3% is influenced by
other factors outside the model.
