Analisis Ekonomis Dan Rugi Daya Terhadap Penggunaan Distributed Generation (Dg) Untuk Meningkatkan Efisiensi Jaringan Distribusi
ABSTRACT
The efficiency of the distribution system often decreases due to power losses that occur during the transmission of electricity from the power plant to consumers. This condition causes the generated electrical energy to be not fully utilized, resulting in energy and cost losses. One of the efforts to improve distribution system efficiency is by implementing Distributed Generation (DG), which is placed close to the load in the 20 kV distribution network. This study aims to analyze the effect of adding DG in the form of a Biogas Power Plant on power losses and the efficiency of a 20 kV distribution network by considering the generation capacity from Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME). The simulation was carried out using ETAP software by injecting a Distributed generation capacity of 2 MW through the load flow method with three output power variations of 35%, 70%, and 100%, tested at several different network locations. The results show that the addition of DG can increase the distribution system efficiency from 90.5% to 94% and reduce power losses from 10.46% to 6.3%, which meets the SPLN No. 72 of 1987 standard. From an economic perspective, the implementation of DG provides energy savings of 1,497,960 kWh per year, equivalent to an economic value of approximately IDR 2,238,950,880.
