Uji Antagonisme Konsorsium Jamur Mucor Spp. Dan Trichoderma Harzianum Asal Rizosfer Tanaman Manggis Terhadap Phytophthora Palmivora Dari Tanaman Jeruk Siam
ABSTRACT
The research on rhizosphere fungi as biological agents has been widely reported. This research aims to observe and obtain the consortia of Mucor spp. and Trichoderma harzianum from mangosteen rhizosphere fungi with a high antagonistic potency to inhibit the growth and to control Phytophthora palmivora, the cause of stem base rot disease on Siamese citrus plants in-vitro. This research was conducted at the Plant Disease Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. The research methods used were observation (compatibility test of Mucor spp. and T. harzianum consortia from mangosteen plants rhizosphere and hyperparasitism test of Mucor spp. and T. harzianum consortia from mangosteen plants rhizosphere against P. palmivora) and experiment (spore density test of Mucor spp. and T. harzianum consortia from mangosteen plants rhizosphere, growth rate test of Mucor spp. and T. harzianum consortia from mangosteen plants rhizosphere, diameter colony test of P. palmivora, and inhibition test of Mucor spp. and T. harzianum consortia from mangosteen plants rhizosphere against P. palmivora). The research consisted of 4 treatments, which was consortia of Mucor sp.1+Mucor sp.2 (K1), Mucor sp.1+T. harzianum (K2), Mucor sp.2+T. harzianum (K3), and Mucor sp.1+Mucor sp.2+T. harzianum (K4) and 6 replications. The research results show that the consortia of Mucor sp.1+Mucor sp.2+T. harzianum has a high growth rate and large colony diameter. The consortia of Mucor sp.1+T. harzianum, Mucor sp.2+T. harzianum and Mucor sp.1+Mucor sp.2+T. harzianum showed the high inhibition growth rate to P. palmivora i.e 68%, 66%, and 61%. The consortia of Mucor sp.1+T. harzianum, Mucor sp.2+T. harzianum and Mucor sp.1+Mucor sp.2+T. harzianum were effective in inhibiting P. palmivora growth of the fungi in-vitro and potentially controlling the disease.
