Analisis Pengendalian Persediaan Bahan Baku Berdasarkan Metode Klasifikasi ABC Dan Model

Effective inventory management is crucial for ensuring smooth company operations,
while simultaneously optimizing stock levels, minimizing excess inventory,
and maintaining capital liquidity. This study aims to optimize raw material inventory
control at Usaha Karak Kaliang and Sanjai Marisa, one of the leading
Minang specialty souvenir centers in Payakumbuh. The ABC classification method
was applied to group raw materials based on their purchase value. The
results of the ABC analysis show that two raw materials fell into category A,
cumulatively contributing 78.567% to the total purchase cost, three raw materials
were in category B with 13.621%, and the remaining seven raw materials
were in category C with 4.517%. Based on this classification, the focus of inventory
control is directed towards category A and B raw materials due to their
significant purchase value. Furthermore, the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ)
multi-item model was used to determine the optimal ordering quantity for raw
materials. The implementation of this multi-item EOQ model is proved capable
of generating substantial savings in total inventory costs for Usaha Karak
Kaliang and Sanjai Marisa.
