Kontribusi Budidaya Lebah Madu Apis Mellifera Dalam Peningkatan Pendapatan Ekonomi Di Kampung Sungai Selodang Kabupaten Siak

Beekeeping of Apis mellifera represents a form of non-timber forest product
utilization with substantial potential to enhance rural household income. This
study aimed to analyze the economic value of Apis mellifera beekeeping and its
contribution to household income in Kampung Sungai Selodang, Siak
Regency. The research was conducted in February 2025 using a case study
approach with descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. Data were
collected through interviews and field observations involving nine beekeepers
selected through a census technique, covering honey production, production costs,
farm income, and total household income. The data were analyzed to calculate the
total economic value and the percentage contribution of beekeeping to household
income. The results showed that the total economic value of beekeeping reached
IDR 778,800,000 per year, with an average of IDR 86,533,333 per beekeeper per
year, while its contribution to household income amounted to one hundred percent
for all respondents. These findings indicate that Apis mellifera beekeeping plays a
vital economic role and has strong potential to be further developed as a
livelihood source for forest-adjacent communities.
