Kerja Sama Publish What You Pay (Pwyp) Indonesia Dan Australian Aid Dalam Mendorong Pemberdayaan Perempuan Terhadap Bidang Transisi Energi
ABSTRACT
This study examines the cooperation between Publish What You Pay (PWYP) Indonesia and Australian Aid in promoting women’s empowerment in the energy transition sector in Indonesia through the We for JET (Women Lead and Benefited from a Just Energy Transition) program. This program is an initiative of PWYP Indonesia aimed at strengthening the role of women in the clean energy transition process, particularly in assisted regions such as East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, through direct interviews with PWYP Indonesia and a literature review of various sources such as books, journals, reports, and relevant articles.
The findings indicate that the cooperation between PWYP Indonesia and Australian Aid is implemented through financial support, strengthening women’s capacity at the community level, expanding spaces for public participation, and advocating for gender-just energy transition policies. The impact of this cooperation is reflected in the increased awareness of women regarding energy transition issues and the opening of opportunities for women’s participation in monitoring and decision-making processes in energy policies. However, this cooperation still faces challenges in the form of socio-cultural barriers and limited access to information and technology for women.
