Partisipasi Pemuda Pada Penyelenggaraan Pemilu Tahun 2024 Di Kelurahan Harjosari Kecamatan Sukajadi Kota Pekanbaru

This study analyzes youth participation as members of the Election Committee (KPPS) in the
2024 Election in Harjosari Village, Pekanbaru, using Rational Choice Theory. Youth
(millennials and Gen Z) play a vital role, as evidenced by their dominance on the Final Voter
List (DPT) and increased involvement as election organizers. This study used descriptive
quantitative methods to describe the phenomenon of youth participation. The results show that
the level of youth participation as members of the KPPS is very high, with a score of 998 on
the participation indicator. The youth are active and understand their duties and
responsibilities, and are interested in participating again. Their primary motivations include
economic benefits, social benefits (experience and networking), and social support. This study
aims to identify factors driving youth participation to strengthen their role in democracy and
improve the KPPS recruitment system in the future.
