This study aims to determine the relationship between the work mecanism of Village-Owned
Enterprises (BUMKam) and community trust in Lubuk Tilan village, using Francis Fukuyama’s theory of
trust, using Pearson Correlation Product Moment calculation. This research is a type pf
quantitative research using inferential analysis. The population of this study was 476 people. To
determine the sample size, Slovin’s formula was used, resulting in a sample size of 100 respondets.
The sampling techniques used are simple random sampling and documentation. The data collection
techniqe for this research is using questionnaires distributed to respondents, and the
questionnaires have already undergone a validity test before being distributed. Data analysis in
this study used data instrument testing, which included validity testing and correlation testing.
The results of this study indicate that the operational mechanism of the Village-Owned Enterprise
in Lubuk Tilan Village is already very good. Public trust levels are also in the high category, and
there is a positive and signivicant relationship between the work mechanism and publict trust,
although the level of the relationship is low.
