pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasiskartu domino untuk meningkatkan minat belajar sejarah siswa kelas x di smk migas teknologi riau
This study aims to develop and evaluate domino card–based learning media to
enhance students’ interest in history learning at a vocational high school. The
research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the
ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and
evaluation stages. The development process was initiated by identifying learning
problems in history instruction, particularly low student engagement caused by
teacher-centered methods and limited instructional media. The resulting product
consisted of a set of history domino cards integrating question–answer pairs
designed to promote active learning and student interaction. The media was
validated by material and media experts, followed by small-group and large-group
trials involving Grade X students. The validation results indicated high feasibility,
with material experts awarding a score of 90% and media experts 92%, both
categorized as “very valid.” Student response results also demonstrated strong
acceptance, with feasibility scores of 76.4% in the small-group trial and 93.5% in
the large-group trial. Furthermore, effectiveness testing revealed a significant
increase in students’ learning interest after using the domino card media, rising
from 67.2% to 83.8% in the small group and from 63.2% to 88.2% in the large
group. Overall, the findings confirm that domino card–based learning media is
valid, feasible, and effective in improving students’ interest in learning history. This
media provides an interactive and enjoyable learning experience, encourages
xiii
active participation, and offers an innovative instructional alternative for history
teaching in vocational education contexts.
