ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the communication network of rubber farmers who are members of the Kuantan Singingi Rubber Farmers Association (Apkarkusi) in Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. Communication plays a crucial role in the success of a farmer organization as it serves as a means of information exchange, innovation dissemination, and decision-making. Current problems faced by rubber farmers include the low quality of rubber processing materials (bokar), fluctuating rubber prices, and declining production, which impacts farmer welfare. Apkarkusi is expected to provide a platform for farmers to obtain information and improve their bargaining position in rubber marketing through an auction system. This study employed a quantitative approach using survey methods and Social Network Analysis). Data were obtained through interviews and questionnaires with purposive sampling of Apkarkusi members. The analysis was conducted by identifying the structure of the communication network, the level of centrality of actors, and the roles of individuals in information dissemination. The results are expected to illustrate the communication patterns formed within the Apkarkusi organization and identify key actors who act as opinion leaders in disseminating information to rubber farmers.
