Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together Terhadap Hasil Belajar Sejarah Siswa Kelas XI di Man Insan Cendekia Siak
The background of this study is the suboptimal cognitive learning outcomes of students in history learning. This is indicated by the low level of student engagement during the learning process, such as limited participation in asking questions, engaging in discussions, and expressing opinions, resulting in less optimal understanding of the material. The problems addressed in this study include: (1) how the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model is carried out in history learning for Grade XI students at MAN Insan Cendekia Siak, (2) whether there is an effect of the NHT learning model on students’ cognitive learning outcomes, and (3) how significant the effect of the NHT model is in improving student learning outcomes. The research method used is a QuasiExperimental Design with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this study consisted of two classes: an experimental class with 24 students receiving treatment using the NHT learning model, and a control class with 25 students receiving conventional learning. Data collection techniques were carried out through learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest). Data analysis used validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis testing (t-test), and effectiveness testing using N-Gain. The results of the study show that the improvement in students’ cognitive learning outcomes after the implementation of the NHT learning model obtained an N-Gain score of 0.64. It can be concluded that the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model is quite effective in improving students’ cognitive learning outcomes in history learning for Grade XI students at MAN Insan Cendekia Siak.
