Analisis Dampak Penetrasi Plts Rooftop Terhadap Aliran Daya Dan Profil Tegangan Pada Jaringan Distribusi 20 Kv Untuk Penentuan Hosting Capacity
ABSTRACT
The increasing utilization of rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems in distribution networks requires an assessment of the network's capability to accommodate additional generation without violating operational limits. This study aims to analyze the impact of rooftop PV penetration on power flow, voltage profile, power losses, power factor, reverse power flow, and hosting capacity of the 20 kV Rusa Feeder. The analysis was conducted using DIgSILENT PowerFactory by considering three PV integration locations, namely the feeder head, middle, and end sections. The PV penetration level was varied from 10% to 100% to evaluate its effect on network performance and was subsequently increased incrementally until the hosting capacity limit was reached at each integration location. The simulation results show that increasing rooftop PV penetration reduces the power supplied by the substation, improves the voltage profile, and decreases network power losses. The minimum system voltage increased from 0.9779 pu to 0.9795 pu at the feeder head, 0.9808 pu at the middle section, and 0.9803 pu at the feeder end. Meanwhile, active power losses decreased from 40.43 kW to 32.38 kW, 28.01 kW, and 25.43 kW, respectively. At the hosting capacity condition, local power flow reversals were observed on several lines near the PV integration points; however, reverse power flow toward the substation did not occur. The maximum hosting capacity was obtained at the feeder head with a penetration level of 274% (1470.93 kW), followed by the middle section at 227% (1123.62 kW), and the feeder end at 216% (1302.24 kW). When evaluated against the total feeder load of 1634.7 kW, these capacities correspond to 89.98%, 68.74%, and 79.66% of the total feeder load, respectively. The results indicate that the primary limiting factor of hosting capacity in the studied feeder is the thermal loading of distribution transformers, which reaches the operational limit of 80% according to SPLN 50:1997, while the system voltage remains within the allowable range specified by SPLN 1:1995.
