Analisis Peramalan Beban Listrik Menggunakan Pendekatan Regresi Linear Multivariable

ABSTRACT
The demand for electrical energy in Riau Province continues to increase along with
population growth and economic development. This condition requires proper
power system planning through long-term peak load forecasting. This study aims
to analyze the influence of population and Gross Regional Domestic Product
(GRDP) on electrical peak load and to forecast the future peak load in Riau
Province using the Multiple Linear Regression method. The data used in this study
consist of annual population, GRDP, and electrical peak load data from 2013 to
2024. The analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation, multiple linear
regression, coefficient of determination (R²), t-test, F-test, and model validation
through MAPE, MSE, and RMSE. The results show that the obtained multiple linear Keywords: peak electrical load, multiple linear regression, load forecasting, gross
