Pengembangan Desain Wheelchair Bed Untuk Penyandang Stroke Dengan Menggunakan Metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (Ahp)
ABSTRACT
Stroke patients often experience mobility limitations, requiring multidimensional adaptive aids for daily activities and rest. This study aims to determine the best wheelchair bed design for stroke patients using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The assessment was conducted by experts in mechanical engineering, ergonomics, and medical rehabilitation through a pairwise comparison questionnaire. Six main criteria were analyzed: Ergonomics & Comfort (C1), Safety (C2), Ease of Use (C3), Durability (C4), and Portability & Transferability (C5). Three alternatives were evaluated: a manual wheelchair bed design with a sliding bedpan (A1), a manual wheelchair bed design without a bedpan (A2), and an electric wheelchair bed design with a bedpan and automatic control (A3). The validity of the hierarchical structure was tested using the Consistency Ratio (CR) to ensure objectivity in decision-making. The developed instrument and methodology framework is expected to provide guidance for optimizing the manufacturing of medical devices in Indonesia.
