Pengembangan Meta (MODUL ETNO-STEAM) Berbasis Perahu Jong Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif Dan Kolaboratif Siswa SMA
Physics learning in schools continues to face several challenges, particularly the low levels of students’ creative and collaborative thinking skills and the limited availability of contextual teaching materials integrated with local culture. This study aimed to develop META (Ethno-STEAM Module) based on Perahu Jong for fluid topics and to examine its effect on students’ creative and collaborative thinking skills. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The effectiveness testing used a quasi-experimental posttest-only control group design. Research instruments included needs analysis questionnaires, module and worksheet validation sheets, creative thinking tests, collaborative skills questionnaires, and practicality questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through MANOVA testing. The findings indicated that the Perahu Jong-based META achieved very high validity and practicality, making it feasible for classroom implementation. The module improved students’ creative thinking skills in the aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration, and enhanced collaborative skills in teamwork, communication, responsibility, and group participation. MANOVA results revealed a significant effect of META implementation on students’ creative and collaborative thinking skills. Therefore, the Perahu Jong-based META is considered a valid, practical, and effective instructional module to support contextual and meaningful physics learning while integrating local cultural values.
